Face Masks for Healthcare Workers
There is a shortage of face masks for healthcare workers all across America. AMWA board members and volunteers have stepped up to fill this need. We are sewing fabric masks to donate to hospitals in the Phoenix area.
If you are able to sew and would like to help sew masks please contact us at email@example.com to get the details and drop-off locations.
In light of the new recommendation by the CDC and President Trump, that people should wear cloth face masks in public to slow the spread of the corona virus, there has been an increased demand of masks for personal use.
Due to this demand by the community, AMWA is now accepting orders of face masks for personal use, for a donation of $5.00/mask.
To order, please fill out the order form below and make the payment. Once your order is received, you will be contacted to let you know when your order will be ready.
Please wash the masks before first use. These masks are reusable and can be washed in hot soapy water after each use.
Disclaimer: Cloth masks don’t fully protect wearers from becoming infected because they are not completely sealed on the face and do not filter the virus particles. They can, however, help prevent people who are infected from spreading the virus by catching droplets emitted while exhaling, coughing and sneezing. These masks are meant to be an additional measure, on top of social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
